Locating the Tail of the Putamen (what we recommend) |

To locate the tail of the putamen we again use the "Set Head and Tail/Load Landmarks" box in the "Landmark Panel." | |
As with the head, adjust the position in the Y direction using the Y controller in the "Set Head and Tail/Load Landmarks" box. Move caudally by increasing the number that is displayed. As you move caudally, the putamen will decrease in size until it is no longer visible. Choose the tail to be at the the slice right before the putamen has completely disappeared. |
